August 2021 Red Tide Information

August 03, 2021
Category: Property News

Despite our best efforts to send good intentions and "sage away" the red tide it seems to persist within our beautiful beaches.

And yes - we literally walked the beach with sage and were blessed with the beautiful heart shaped cloud during our walk. The red tide subsided for a day or two and then the winds shifted and it returned.

We try our best to answer your questions and address your concerns but nature has a way of being unpredictable.

We understand that there are two schools of thought:

Those of you that are not content with anything getting in the way of your "getaway". Unlike the 2018 surge in red tide, many travelers are still enjoying the beaches, pools, restaurants and everything this area has to offer. Although it is difficult to predict whether it will turn out to be a good beach day, many days are still enjoyable. The towns and Pinellas County are doing an incredible job of clearing the beaches, as needed. As a result, there is very little noticeable effect here by the pool.

Those of you that still have concerns and would like more information. We have listed a few helpful links below which we use to monitor the situation.
